The Founders
It all began in 2019, with a single holiday home on Norway's southern coast. No business plan, no grand strategy. Just one question: why keep this place to ourselves when we could share it?
We are Stefan and Jannik. Out of that one thought grew FJORD HOMES, today four homes on Norway's southern coast, each with its own character, each in a place away from the tourist trails.
We know each of our homes because we are there ourselves on a regular basis. And we know the feeling that the first hours by the fjord bring out: you feel like you ought to be getting something done. But then, usually on the terrace in the evening with a view of the water, your mind goes quiet for the first time in weeks. It's a kind of nature that doesn't need explaining. You feel it the moment you arrive.
That feeling is what we want to pass on. To guests who are not just looking for somewhere to stay, but for a place to breathe out. And so that this works from the very first moment, someone is always there for you. Not as anonymous service, but as people on the ground who know the homes and the area.

Sørlandet offers more than the cabin by the water. Here is a small selection of what waits right outside your door.
Cod, mackerel, saithe, straight from your own boat or off the dock. Sørlandet is one of the most productive fishing grounds in Europe.
Take your boat through the skerries, to quiet bays and small harbours. Fuel stops and moorings are never far.
Coastal paths along smooth granite, light pine woods, wide views of the sea. From family-friendly to challenging.
Lista is one of the best surf regions in Scandinavia. Consistent waves, long sand beaches, an easy-going atmosphere.
The Lista wetlands are a hub for migratory birds. Hides and quiet trails right around the corner.
Well-maintained coastal roads and quiet side lanes. Ideal for day trips with a swim along the way.
